Since its formation in July 2005 Soulspace has become a place of thoughtful engagement centred mainly around the edges of Christianity.  We do, however, welcome and encourage anyone of any faith to join us.  Although we enjoy animated discussion, Soulspace is also intended to provide a community which values people and seeks to include people, building relationships and attempting to be creative together.

Soulspace is an open community. If you take an open minded approach to faith, if you see faith as a journey and have few dogmatic beliefs, then Soulspace is for you.  However if you feel that you know the truth and you come here wishing to convert others, then Soulspace is probably not for you.

Soulspace is a non-hierachical community. We make decisions about the site together, as a community, operating on democratic principles.

Soulspace is a non-discriminatory community, and in order that all may feel welcome we specifically will not accept comment that is condemnatory or demeaning of persons or their relationships because they are gay, lesbian or transgendered, even if you justify this on religious grounds. Nor will we tolerate comment that supports illegal or non-consensual sexual activity.

We value the fact that we can keep our identities private on Soulspace. We expect all those posting here to respect this privacy and not to divulge names or other personal details of Soulspace members. We must also recognise, however, that there is no guarantee of anonymity on the internet.
